The global situation with the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been developing rapidly over the last weeks with numerous new cases raising significant concerns at a global level. To ensure health and safety for all and those around us, we have decided to postpone the Sub-Regional Workshop on land-use planning and industrial safety for South-Eastern Europe to 21-23 October 2020.
We very much regret this unfortunate turn of events and appreciate your understanding.
This workshop is jointly organized by the UNECE Industrial Accidents Convention and the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management, with contributions by the Governments of Flanders (Belgium) and Serbia.
Its purpose is to bring together land-use planning and industrial safety experts from countries of South-Eastern Europe (including representatives of authorities, industry, NGOs and academia and experts in related fields) to share experiences and good practices on the topic of: coordination of land-use planning and industrial safety procedures and cooperation between the relevant experts for industrial accident prevention, including in a transboundary context.
The concept note and provisional agenda for the workshop and the link to the online registration are available at https://www.unece.org/index.php?id=53431
